Congratulations! I always hated the neck-breaking characteristics of DIDTA's vaccuum secondary and went to a 32/32 DDIST from a 2.0 Ford V6 on my last 1900S.
That was relatively straight forward, just needed a custom built linkage on the carb's throttle body. The DDIST has tooth segments which open both throttles in parallel. The car felt way more agile and accelerated a lot smoother than before. My carb came from a 2.0 V6 / 90hp off a P7b 20M. I know, sourcing stuff like this surely was a lot easier in the 1990ies

Den Ford Solex hatte ich auch mal. Indiskutabler Verbrauch und der einzige Gaser mit dem ich jemals wegen Dampfblasenbildung liegen geblieben bin bei unwirklich merkbarem Leistungszuwachs. So gehen Erfahrungen auseinander.....

Any simplified manual/method available for the Solex adjustments? Shop manual is a little bit confusing

Wenn die ganzen Gestänge und sowas korrekt eingestellt sind drehe ich die Umluftschraube 3 Umdrehungen raus. Warm fahren. Soweit reindrehen bis kurz bevor der Motor anfängt langsamer zu drehen und stelle dann die Leerlaufdrehzahl ein.

I don´t have this screw. Never did. Some BMW 2002 has the same carb and don´t have it too
